Hey, I’ve never body swapped a Mercedes I’ve body swapped roughly 30 cars, by far the easiest way to do this is in three pieces, I’ve never cut the a pillar( on doner body) this sets the whole car, including the dash, 1st doors and front guards often you’ll Need top guard mounts from original car now line up radiator surport, then al that’s left is boot roof and rear guards leave 4 inches of roof attached to the a pillars, now you can deal to a piller once frame rails are welded in , I don’t touch the wiring loam dash, steering wheel carpet nothing, roll the carpet into the centre cover it it fire proofing, now it’s lunchtime go have lunch,

I have 75 sl450 44,000 original miles I would be grateful very grateful if u could point me in direction of a true older Mercedes mechanic that could tune my car and few engine maintenance items done! I can not find anyone I would let turn screw or bolt on it yet!! This car is truly original and in awesome but at near 50yrs before it goes back on road off its lift I want all systems gone thru and it tuned to its optimum

we are currently working on restoring a 75 jeep Cherokee at this moment, my plan now is to create a separate car restoration RUclips channel of classic cars with my dad stay tuned in the following months as I prepare with new video equipment to start this new project !
